Enter the courtyard and then go down the stairs to the right. We are at the bottom behind the glass door with the white orchid.
Kbh. V. & Kbh. V-Hot: Vesterbrogade 69.
Go into the second backyard and down to the right side of the brown brick building. There is a sign and a staircase up to the 3rd floor where we are located.
In DoYoga we want to make it as easy for you as possible, so therefore we have yoga mats, eye pads, yoga bolsters, blocks and belts for free use in both Studios. But NOT hot yoga.
When you go to hot yoga, you must bring your own yoga mat + possibly a towel and REMEMBER water.
You can not buy water or anything else in the Studio, so remember your own water bottle, a piece of fruit or something else after class
(NOTE !! Due to Corona you must bring all equipment yourself and there is no tea / coffee in the Studios)
how to use our doyoga app:
is yoga new to you? here is 3 good advice
If you have never tried yoga before, I recommend that you start by signing up for Hatha and Yin yoga. Hatha Yoga is a very “basic” form of yoga where everyone can follow. The pace is calm, but a lot of work is done with strength and agility, while there is a lot of anatomical focus on the individual positions. Yin yoga is the calm and passive yoga where you work with the connective tissue by sitting / lying in positions for between 3-5 minutes. A combination of Yin and Hatha is absolutely amazing and once you have had a few weeks with these types of yoga, I think you should try the different types of yoga we have and see what they can do for you.
(You can read more about the different types HERE)
It is always good to make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes. Yoga takes place on bare toes (or with 5 fingers/yoga socks with rubber dots underneath). It is recommended that you wear tight-fitting clothes, such as a pair of leggings/running pants and a tight-fitting top. This is both so that the clothes stay in place, regardless of whether you are standing upside down, and so the teacher can see what your body is doing, so that they can guide you in the best possible way.
Make sure you have drunk plenty of water during the day up to and make sure you are not hungry. However, it should preferably have been 2 hours since the last meal, otherwise it can feel directly uncomfortable to do the various positions. Always bring water and preferably a piece of fruit, to eat after class.
